Theatr Hafren Tickets now Available Online
8th Sep 2009
We are proud to announce that after a great deal of negotiation we have managed to secure a deal that means we will now be able to sell tickets online via our website at theatrhafren.co.uk.
The new system offers the following benefits:-
1. The ability for our customers to choose their seats (unlike the majority of venue sites throughout the UK that allocate you a seat).
2. We have secured a deal that has ensured we can minimise the transaction fees of online purchases.
3. New printed tickets.
Our new software provider is Iris who have provided us with a system called ‘Venue’ and we are one of the first theatres in Wales to implement this system.
The new Autumn 2009 brochure is now available and should be on your doorsteps this week and we are now ready and raring to take all new bookings via phone, in person or via the web for the wide range of performances we have coming up.
To buy online, you will need to register on your first visit but will just need a username and password on each subsequent visit thus making it very quick and easy to book. You can also complete your booking in either Welsh or English via the web or through the Box Office.
Please note that ONLY a £1 transaction fee is charged when purchasing online unlike the extortionate fees normally charged at some other venues (typically £3.50 per ticket). This means that you are charged £1 regardless of how many tickets you purchase and not a PER TICKET charge. Therefore the more tickets you purchase the better the value you will gain from this in addition to the usual advantage of being able to book your seats at any time of day or night.
Please note that the Theatr Hafren Box Office will remain open as usual between the hours of 10am and 5.30pm and two hours before each performance as it was before to take telephone bookings.
We look forward to seeing you soon and please contact us with any feedback you have.
Lee Evans sells out within 2 hours!
2nd Apr 2008
Tickets for Lee Evans went on sale on Saturday 29th March at 10am as promised. When we arrived at 9.30am a queue of almost a hundred had already formed, which doubled as we approached 10am.
The first person through the doors at 10.00am, had been queuing from 6.30am!
We had 3 people serving in person and 1 on the phones and it was madness until we eventually sold out at 11.45am.
It was a lottery on the phones as we fully appreciate and we didn't have any time to return messages left on the answerphone or emails. When all phones are ringing there is just no time to listen for messages or read emails and return calls.
It was as fair as possible, although we appreciate that many of you are now left disappointed. Sadly, we only have 548 seats and they were allocated extremely fairly.
Anyway, we still have many shows coming up, and for those comedy fans, Rob Brydon seats are now on sale!

Ken Dodd Sells Out in Just 4 Hours
20th Sep 2007
well, we went on sale for Ken Dodd on Tuesday 18th September at 10am as promised and making it fair for everybody and taking away any advantage that some post code regions have in receiving the brochure.
60 People had already formed a queue when we arrived at 9.30am and we waited until exactly 10am before we opened the Box Office. We had 2 people serving in person and 2 on the phones and it was madness until we eventually sold out at 2pm. There was a lull in calls at around 1pm but at that stage we only had about 60 seats left which went fairly efficiently taken during the last hour.
It was a lottery on the phones as we fully appreciate and we didn't have any time to return messages left on the answerphone or emails. The answerphone message said to 'please keep trying until you get through to somebody' so we did warn in advance. When all phones are ringing there is just no time to listen for messages or read emails and return calls.
It was as fair as possible, although we appreciate that many of you are now left disappointed. Sadly, we only have 548 seats and they were allocated extremely fairly.
Anyway, we still have many shows between now and the New Year to entertainment all tastes so we look forward to seeing you soon.
Remember if you have any comments, suggestions or feedback please email on marketing@theatrhafren.co.uk
